Ex-model and FGM activist Waris Dirie´s new film Desert Flower is out. The film, which stars Liya Kedebe is based on her book(her autobiography) with the same name. I have read the book and I found it quite intriguing. I am not sure when it will be coming out in theatres here. I guess I will be on the watch out for it anyway and you should be too.
Above is the trailer for the film...Love it.

Lightup Nigeria + Summer reading
I would advice all nigerians and friends of Nigeria to join this passionate cause. Let our voices be heard. The nolight situation in Nigeria must come to an end. Enough is Enough. I would have loved to write an epistle on the effect of the lack of electricity in Nigeria but I think many other bloggers and twitterers have already done that. You can join here at facebook or twitter.
I would love to read these two books once I get a chance. Now we all know the author of the first book, The thing around your neck, our very own Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie. The author of the second book Dead Aid is somewhat new on the scene. She is Dambisa Moyo, a harvard educated economist. From the reviews so far I can´t wait to lay my hands on this book.
Have a fabulous weekend everyone!
