Lightup Nigeria + Summer reading

I would advice all nigerians and friends of Nigeria to join this passionate cause. Let our voices be heard. The nolight situation in Nigeria must come to an end. Enough is Enough. I would have loved to write an epistle on the effect of the lack of electricity in Nigeria but I think many other bloggers and twitterers have already done that. You can join here at facebook or twitter.

I would love to read these two books once I get a chance. Now we all know the author of the first book, The thing around your neck, our very own Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie. The author of the second book Dead Aid is somewhat new on the scene. She is Dambisa Moyo, a harvard educated economist. From the reviews so far I can´t wait to lay my hands on this book.

Have a fabulous weekend everyone!

Sunday Random!

I called my grandma yesterday. It was really sweet hearing her voice since we don't talk too often , because of distance and we all know how the networks are in very small towns sometimes. She went down the usual terrain of talk.

"Joicee, don't follow people. Don't keep bad company, be like your mother, she finished her schooling, got married and had you people"

I love her.

It got me thinking though, will my mother be able to say the same about me to my children in the future. I hope so.

There was fabulous report on the nigerian music industry on CNN's Inside Africa, something positve and inspiring at last, goodness knows it is about time.

Psquare!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! im screaming.....they are both gorgeous.

Enjoy.....and have a fulfilled week.

I was going through Mimi magazine blog and I found this article quite hilarious, especially number 2 and 8. Go figure!
