Hi everyone, I just popped in to check how you all are doing. I had and I am still having a fantastic time at my parents. I came over for the christmas break and it has been fun, for once I really do not have to worry about those mundane things like going grocery shopping et al. Last Sunday was my parents' silver anniversary, it was a blast. It was low key ceremony at my parents home and it turned out really well. I think the highlight of it all, was the traditional outfits my sister, my mum and myself wore, It looked awesome.
I am sure you all have heard about the christmas bomber. As I heard the news, I thought, perfect timing, isn't. I will be travelling by air early january so I guess I should psychologically prepare myself for searches and pat-downs. I will never be able to understand the logic behind suicide bombings/killing in the name of religion. Never!

That cake is simply lovely, I wish your parents the best. My parents had theirs a few years ago and it was such a joy to witness.
As for the would-be bomber, I all say is thank God no one died. Safe trip back and enhjoy what's left of your visit.
I so pity all the people that will be travelling abroad
Happy New Year to you! I hope your travel back won't be too stressful.
That is such lovely cake. I should save that picture for the future.
never mind, you will go through those scanners that strip you naked at the airport.

@GNG Thanks dear....It really was not stressful at all. I thought I would be Xrayed and such but it was just the normal procedure that was done! Blimey!

I did not get a full body scan just the normal metal detector thingy.. I guess it is specially reserved for those travelling to the U.S...for now at least!
