Has anyone been following the news about the situation in Nigeria?, especially as the president Umaru Musa YarÁdua is critically ill. Apparently there is tension building up, the northeners do not want Goodluck Jonathan the vice President to be sworn in, in case Yar´Adua doesn´t make it.
It does not help that his health keeps on deteriorating. According to the Sahara Reporters, he is suffering from Churg Strausss disease, an autoimmune disease that affects the bloodvessels. Slowly things are coming to light about the whole sitaution. I honestly hope that common sense and logic will prevail for I fear as many times before, an inevitable civil unrest looming. I hope it does not comes to that.
